Trimester Sales Planning

One of the most difficult aspects of Miller's business is streamlining the communication of marketing plans, promotions, and advertising initiatives to hundreds of their distributors throughout the country. This interactive program, produced three times a year, was the answer Miller was looking for — combining timely information in a colorful, exciting, and engaging package.

Set in the virtual "Miller Pub", users navigate to a number of informational areas and environments by clicking on various elements in the pub, or by using a slide out menu at the bottom of the screen. Each application includes these sections:

• Sales Meeting Presentation — an exciting video overview of all the trimester's new promotions, events, and advertising.
• What's New — detailed information on new product launches and packaging, updates, and other news.
• Media Showcase — the latest advertising in print, radio, TV, and OOH (Out Of Home) for all of Miller's many brands.
• Portfolio Planner — a detailed look at all of Miller's promotions for the trimester for each of their brands, including overviews, program details, POS, and merchandising. The POS for the major brand promotions are featured in pop-up windows that show the POS in its various environments (convenience stores, supermarkets, liquor stores, and on-premise). Each piece of POS is clickable, showing a large image of the POS. In addition, this section features a dynamic calendar along the top that shows at a glance the retail timing of each event and the WAD (Warehouse Arrival Date) for POS and merchandising.
• On- and Off-Premise Tools — each of these two sections features a wealth of facts, figures, and statistics about beer consumption and consumers in all facets of the business. Each screen also has a PowerPoint version that can be saved to the user's computer hard drive for use in their own employee and customer presentations.
• Resources — a variety of Web links to Miller's consumer and distributor support Web sites.
