"The Fast Track to Increased Sales." You know Sara Lee makes lots of sinfully delicious pastries, desserts and meat products, but did you know that Sara Lee provides lots of sales tools for the distributors of their products? Everything from branded equipment, like bakery racks and countertop roller grills, to tools like this interactive Promotion Planner. This particular tool was distributed primarily to convenience store managers to assist them in yearly planning of their quarterly promotional offerings. It features four sections:
- Quarterly Planner — this planner builder allows users to define up to four promotions for each quarter of the year. Users can select from preset "Quick Pick" promotions, such as: "Frequent Buyer", "Meal Combo", "Product Feature", and "Fuel Up", or enter their own promotions. When the user finishes setting up their promotional calendar, they can then choose to preview the calendar and print it.
- Profit Calculators — a series of five profit calculators allow the user to calculate how much profit can be derived from selling Sara Lee products using Sara Lee branded equipment. For example, in the Roller Grill calculator the user is asked to select the number of hot dogs per pound, and enter cost per pound, bun and condiment cost, retail price, business days per year, and units sold per day. The calculator returns gross profit, gross margin, and total profits per year.
- Branded Equipment — a virtual catalog of all Sara Lee's branded equipment such as roller grills, streamers, sandwich warmers, wire racks, and cases.
- Custom Works — Web links to useful Sara Lee web sites where users can order product, equipment, POS, and merchandising.
