This screen saver was created to inform advertising and marketing decision makers about the Animal Planet cable channel (part of Discovery Communications network of channels). The screen saver was designed to give media professionals a taste of the personality of the Animal Planet channel and to communicate contact information for advertising sales personnel at Animal Planet.
The screen saver was distributed via a disk attached to Media Magazine, a magazine that informs and entertains the professionals that create, plan and buy advertising. Because of the capacity of the disk, functionality was limited but we managed to create a whimsical, informative, and heavily-branded experience using animations such as animal paw prints "walking" across the user's screen, and interesting trivia facts about animals. And, just to be sure the recipients would know what Animal Planet was all about, each screen contained the channel's tag-line: "All Animals. All the Time."
